Travel Health Advice
In line with the NHS Board, GP Practices will no longer provide travel health services. Patients should now contact TravelHealthPro website. The website allows you to select your destination and view the requirements before contacting the providers which are detailed on the website.
The following travel vaccines are available - Typhoid, Hepatitis A, DPT an Cholera, at no direct cost. Any other vaccinations will incur a cost.

Self-help
Here are some simple self help tips you can follow to make your trip safer
- Be Safe
- Be hygienic
- Take a small first aid kit including re-hydration sachets
- Watch what you eat
- Drink bottled water only
- Avoid ice cubes if they are made with tap water
- Use effective sun protection against i.e. high factor sun creams
- Take any medication your GP advises to protect yourself, like Malaria tablets
