GP Appointments

You can book for an appointment up to 10 days in advance by calling us on the numbers provided below for non-urgent consultations. Remember that the problem you have does not necessarily always mean a GP will call you back and you may receive a call from one of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Your local pharmacy also offers a minor ailment service and may be able to issue you a prescription without you needing to see a GP at all. Read more information on the kind of things that can be treated by the minor ailments service

If you have an urgent problem and need to be seen the same day, please call us before 11am. In order to reduce the number of people coming in to the surgery the reception staff will offer you a telephone consultation in the first instance. We cannot always guarantee that the Clinician will call at the exact time booked so we will offer you a 2 hour window. If the Clinician thinks that you need to be assessed for a face-to-face consultation, a face to face consultation will be arranged that day or at a time that suits you.

Cancelling & rescheduling appointments

If you cannot attend your given appointment please call the numbers above to cancel or reschedule. On average 150 people a month fail to turn up for their appointments without informing us - these slots could be put to good use and offered to another patient, allowing the doctors and nurses to reduce any backlog of patients and reduce waiting times. Please think of others when you can no longer attend or need a scheduled appointment.

You can also cancel your appointment using our appointment cancellation form and registered users can cancel appointments via Patient Access

Text message reminders

Please ensure that we have an up-to-date mobile number on file for you to take advantage of this service.

This is an implied consent service so all patients will be automatically opted in but if you would rather not receive texts, just contact the surgery, and let us know.

House visits

When a home visit is necessary, please call the practice between 8.30am and 10.30am. We encourage patients to call the surgery in the first instance to request a house visit on the numbers provided above.

Once the house visit has been requested, you may initially receive a telephone consultation from the Clinician who will discuss your symptoms with you. This will allow the Clinician to assess your condition and decide the best possible action required.
